WORLD OF MECHIMORPHS

CULTURE

PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL STRUCTURE

Social structure of Mechimorphs is in fact not very complex (due to their total number) and consists of only two main social ranks. 15-20 so called “alphas” of whole Mechimorph kingdom take the spot on the top of the hierarchy. They are the strongest individuals and play the role of leaders, each one decides for different parts of life. The rank below are civilians who choose their alphas by votings which happen irregularly, only if it’s absolutely necessary. Civilian rank is divided further into families and solitary specimens. Mates are purely monogamous and, considering a rather small number of the kingdom’s members, usually heterosexual.

The psychological structure of each Mechimorph is as complex as in case of humans. Usually they’re all accepting others who are “different” in both physical and mental aspects; however their minds might become corrupted after ascension which gives them more power and leads to selfishness.

What they truly hate is being treated on an animal level like pets and wild species, as they’re closer with development to humans than any other animal. They still show some animal-like behaviors though, especially in vocal communication (purrs, growls, chirps) and body language. While Mechimorphs are generally social, some individuals decide to lead “feral”, solitary life, away from human settlements.

Mechimorphs cannot stand looking helplessly at their comrades suffering for whatever reason. They prefer to euthanize them to end the pain if there is no way to bring them back to health.

It is also worth mentioning a little, random fact that all Mechimorphs are strangely attracted to glowing and shiny objects. They have tendency to hoard.
